I love the Bobby singles (especially "Get Away" and "Humpin' Around"). It's actually a pretty good album. Anyway, even if you don't like them, he still had 6 big hits in less than two years (plus the earlier success of "Girlfriend").

I always thought of "Bobby" as an instant replay of "Don't Be Cruel," save it didn't have the urgency of the former album.
THE TRAFFIC JAMMERS, The Org's house band: VAINANDY -- lead singer; NAJEE -- bass; THE AUDIENCE -- guitar; PHUNKDADDY -- rhythm guitar; ALEX de PARIS -- keyboards; Da PRETTYMAN -- keyboards; FUNKENSTEIN -- drums. HOLD ON TO YOUR DRAWERS!

I never liked "Every Little Step", but I love the rest of the singles! love

LOL,for me it's the opposite."Every Little Step" is the ONLY Bobby Brown song that I like.I recall Babyface saying that he recorded this song for his own album, but Bobby heard it and said "You gotta give me this song!".I think it's one of the best Babyface productions ever.

Don't forget L.A.! The song itself is about his courtship of Pebbles. Mmm, Pebbles... drool

this LP success, still is on the industry, BObby was the first rnb star in the MTV generation whose music crossed over instead of making music to crossover to the masses. Bobby success allows Usher, Omarion, Chris Brown and all these other Michael Jackson nuthuggers to look like males instead of acting like lil girls like MIchael Jackson, and that Purple Ferry.

But BObby LP is better,

Bobby looked like a cosby kid in the "girlfriend" video though LOL. He was relying too much on his N.E image. Iam glad he stepped up for "don't be cruel" though.

I agree about "bobby" being better though. Its one of my all time favs.

I loved Don't Be Cruel! I was sooo into Bobby Brown. I used to tape every show he ever appeared on, and every one of his videos.

Who remembers the 227 episode when he performed in Brenda's class???

Nah. Never liked them much. Second album was better. "show me the way" still gets a spin now and then, aswell as a few others off that album ("hootie mack")
