Those 2 shows right there can be threads in themselves, because too many people miss them. Bring back Donnie Simpson as host for any new music show!!!!

Did they have a show call Hot Tracks on the USA Network? I don't know. I didn't have cable at the time. This was in the mid 80s. Here's New York Hot Tracks: http://video.yahoo.com/vi...bf5.548135

I remember Don Kirschner's Rock Concert. He had bands who actually played live on the show and did not lip sync. Then there was Dance Party USA, which had a young dancer on the show named Kelly Ripa with her huge 80's hairdo. And at one point in the mid-1980's, our local ABC affiliate had a video show called Rock On Chicago which played just about every format that was huge at the time, and it rivaled Friday Night Videos in excellence. And don't forge1 120 Minutes on MTV, when they played the most awesome alternative music videos from some really cool bands, some of which would become huge later.
I wanted to put Headbanger's Ball on this list, but for every Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Cannibal Corpse, and Corrosion of Conformity video they played on that show, they played about 10 really shitty hair metal bands.
