IS Regina Spektor a guilty pleasure?

Everytime I listen to her music, I feel I'm disgracing my love for Tori Amos and Kate Bush! boxed

she's not a guilty pleasure. she's very talented, a great singer and musician.

But why feel guilty about something you enjoy anyway? Just enjoy it cool

They won't mind... neither of them will feel slighted in the least.

Tori has covered Bon Jovi songs in concert, for goodness sake. She is in no position to be lecturing anyone on what they listen to. cool

Have you seen the video for US? I adore that song.... I haven't been able to get into the new album as much, though

When I heard that song/saw the video for the first time I thought I was witnessing the second coming of Christ. But then I bought the album and nothing else on it even came close to the perfection of that song. Ah well.

I do like 'Begin To Hope' overall more than 'Soviet Kitsch'. The songs are more fleshed out and complete.

I opened for Regina when she played here in Atlanta and she was AWESOME! I'd never heard her before, but her show was great! She's young and hungry, Tori and Kate, good as they have been are past their prime.

I really like regina spektor...GREAT voice and style.
Let's go down 2 the holy river,
If we drown then we'll be delivered.
If we don't then we'll never see the light.
If U die before U try,
U'll have 2 come back and face the light.
When U believe it, U got a good reason 2 cry.
