And since somebody mentioned since Julia Roberts in this discussion (though not as a possible to play the part) I must make mention that both Debbie and Julia were in that terrible Satisfaction movie that I love so much. Oh and they played second fiddle to Mallory Keaton.debs was in that? i don't remember that. i keep thinking polly jean harvey was in that movie, which i know is impossible, but then i remember, no, JUSTINE BATEMAN was in it, and she's not the same person as pj harvey, no matter how much my brain wants them to be one and the same. Oh god, you reminded me of that real PJ Harvey movie, 'Book Of Life'. She's not a good actress.

PJ as an actress is DULL DULL DULL. it's weird, cuz she's got great stage presence as a musician, but she just sucked the energy out of every paper bag she's tried to act her way out of on the silver screen. i liked it when juliette lewis kinda sorta played pj harvey in that 'strange days' flick...which was a really weird/bad movie, but juliette-as-pj was worth a few laffs. | |

The best actress to play Debbie would have been Michelle Pfieffer she has the same bone structure as debbie but hey waited so long to do the movie, Michelle is not longer a candidate....They better do a good job Debbie Harry is some beauty ,her eyes and smile are a killer...You can only admire her beauty up close and personal.. I had the priviledge of meeting her many times. She is just a cutie and a beautiful soul..!! | |

she is a decent actress and has pretty dimples. everyone i personally know, tho, disses her looks so badly. i don't think the girl is ugly but i do agree that an actress who portrays debbie harry would have to have good looks and a helluvalot of sex appeal. | |

I've seen her in some bad movies, but I think she can also be really good. I thought she was superb in both Lost in Translation and Girl with a Pearl Earring. I don't think she's right for this role, but I do like her. | |
