News I just have to share!!!

my daughter won the auction at the make yourself foundation site!

she's going to the houston show and gets a 30 minute meet and greet with the guys!!

needless to say she is excited

and so am I

so many people go forever without meeting their favorite artists and she gets this opportunity.

PLUS since it's a charity donation the price is a tax write off yay!

Yay for your daughter! My tickets to the SF shows just arrived today.
Be sure to ask your daughter if Brandon is really looking this rough up close and personal:

Not that this changes my love for the band but you gotta admit the boy was a total looker just a couple years ago.

eek

yeah that's pretty rough,

I have a correction though, it's not a tax write off, I read on the foundation's web site because we get something of value in return. so shrug also she got her tickets dangled in front of her twice, Fedex wouldn't deliver to her because she's not 21, she called me crying bawl so mama got on the phone email and fax and they are redelivering here so I can sign for them evillol. I told her if all else fails they can hold some passes for her a will call at the venue. They don't know they are dealing with a Pro when it comes to concerts and ticket problems, something to be said about going to Prince shows for 25 years lol I know how to handle some problems that's for sure.

Hey,BIG long time Incubus fan here too!

I love the new album! Fave trax are Dig(gonna be a smash),Kiss to send us off, anna molly, Love hurts, oil and water and and paper shoes. Basically I love the whole album. LOL I was a little like WTF??? (it just took me off guard, so diffrent) when I first heard it, but it grew on me and think that its one of their best.Preordered LG before it came out to the the tickets from presale. I am going to the Orlando show and am so excited!!!

I must agree Brandon has been looking kind of rough lately....(still love him so though)He seems to me to have been going through a rough patch. He is one of those people who wears his heart on his sleeve.(or maybe face now)You can no doubt see his heart writtten all over his lyrics. Does anyone else see that the lyrics to this new album are very different than before? I feel sad for him. Love has kicked his ass (u can tell.its written all over his songs now)And I think it has affected his opitmism and view on life. I guess it happens to all of us myself included.
But that is what sucks about it. His lyrics were always so amazingly upbeat, strong thru the pain, and hopeful about life. They helped me so much when I was going through absolute hell in my life, They helped me to find strength in me that I never knew that I had, and look at life in such unexpected, amazing ways. I am not saying that he has completely changed, it is still there (ie- earth to bella, love hurts) But is just seems to me that he has been through it, he kinda had the wind knocked out of his sails somehow...like a underlining sadness to alot of the new stuff. I hate to see that happen to him. Does anyone understand? Rest assured, I am not dissing him at all or the new music. He puts alot of soul inside his words (Like P, well sometimes lol), and because of that I care about him as a person (<--- arugh so sappy....) His lyrics have seen me through so much, and I just hate to see him go through it. I have been there and it sucks. U can lose alot of who you are if you are not careful. Does anyone else see this too?

I take it back. I saw them tonight and I was right smack in front of Brandon and he looks as great as ever - like a grown up Make Yourself era. He does wear his heart of his sleeve and I'm grateful for that, it just is very unfortunate that his heartbreaks have made him so jaded. I know it sounds cheesy but Incubus' music has touched me so deeply and helped me through some rough patches in life. I'm still dehydrated, exhausted, and in a daze right now so I'll spare the details for later.

The good news is that I get to relive it again tomorrow! I will arrive early enough to avoid squeezing myself through the crowd this time.

Yay! U must be so excited! My show is on the 22nd, and I can't wait. Good to hear that he is looking well. That boy is so beautiful, it would take a hell of a lot to make him look bad, So I did'nt think that it would be a problem. lol I agree, he wears his heart on his sleeve and its a beautiful thing. He is not afraid of his emotions or feelings. That is why he makes such amazing lyrics. I am sad for him though, U can see the sadness in his eyes these days and my heart goes out to him. Give us details of the show when you recouperate please girl!! biggrin
