Fav 80's Funk!!!

When Purple Rain came out and I discovered the b-sides and 12"
I forgot about my Rock/Metal past(4 a couple of years) and really got in2
80's funk, new funk or elektro funk..whatever they called it.
Here are some of my all time fav's,some clearly influenced by our man
others sounding really 80's wink .

- RFTW Baby, let me love you (Love you down was the hit but I still love this track more)
- General Kane Crack killed Applejack (all time fav, still play it a lot)
- General Kane Houseparty and Flashlight
- Jesse Johnson Lovestruck (and a lot of the whole CD)
- Jesse Johnson feat. Sly Stone Crazay (puts a smile on my face smile
- Chico Debarge Talk to me (love the beat, sounds like...
- Janet What have you done
- Georgio Sexappeal
- Bar-Kays Sexomatic
- RFTW Oh Sheila (obvious wink
- Morris Day Fishnet
- The Time Jungle love

I also loved some tracks from Da Krash(produced by Jesse, but can't find them).
I know a lot of these artists/songs are hated nowadays but I had so much fun with them.
Anyone knows other 80's funk I should know about?

Cameo's Alligator Woman, Flirt, Style, Single Life
The Gap Band - Burn Rubber On Me etc.
Dazz Band - Let It Whip (Another one of my faves)

Some fantastic 80's funk albums:

Rick James - Street Songs
Slave - Stone Jam
Lakeside - Fantastic Voyage
Cameo - Cameosis
The Time - What Time Is It?
The Brothers Johnson - Light Up The Night
Gap Band - Gap Band III
Zapp - Zapp
Steve Arrington's Hall Of Fame - Steve Arrington's Hall Of Fame I
It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I thought about Cameo but I thought they wouldn't fit in my list,
because they have a style of their own and I didn't wanna compare them with Georgio lol

I sure check out Gap Band,Slave & Dazz Band.
