Is Terence Trent D'Arby worth getting into?

I recently heard some tracks from his first album ("Hardline") and they sounded pretty good. I was just wondering if anybody else liked his music and If so, could anyone recommend some albums of his that I need to get.

of course he is.
terence trent d'arby is multi instrumentalist althought not on the level of prince.
he is great singer reminds on sam cooke a bit.

he can write very catchy tunes such as delicate, sign your name,do you love me like you say, saying about you.

he can write very good soulful music such as let her down easy,
holding on to you...

if you want him to rock hard you can go for :vibrator, she kissed me...

I wasn't really wild about his debut album, but Neither Fish Nor Flesh, Symphony Or Damn, and especially Vibrator - are all fantastic albums.

The hardline is the only one i like and i have them all..hoping they would hit me like the hardline...1987-88 was his peak years.he was on the cover of rolling stone and performing at the grammys and 100% hailed as the NEXT BIG THING...then his mouth and ego got him in trouble and a year later lenny took over...

I just bought "Symphony or Damn" and "Vibrator" off ebay.

From the samples I listned to they sound like two good albums. "Wildcard" didn't sound to bad either.

The best album he did was released a few years ago called "Wildcard". It's bloody brilliant.

'Vibrator' is the best album of his I've heard, and it's great. Imo better than the roughly contemporary 'Gold Experience', by someone whose name I forget right now ...

'Holding On To You' is classic. He can be an amazing singer. And no mean drummer and piano player if the credits on the tracks on 'Vibrator' are anything to go by.

Vibrator is a brilliant album and Holding On To You is my favourite song ever worship. But I also love Wildcard and Symphony Or Damn and Neither Fish Nor Flesh and Introducing.... are great albums as well!
