the complete motown singles series

has anyone picked any of these limited edition cd sets up? they are so pricey...but they have every motown song from any specific year, including b-sides. i think its up to volume 6 (1966), which is a 5 disc set.

if you've got this, are you happy with it? i'd love to have the whole motown collection but 100 bucks+ is a lot for a box set...though it is cheaper than a dollar a song.

When I get well enogh pay for a job, I will get the series (120 per set). I am however waiting on Volume Two of the James Brown singles collection from Hip-O. The first set is from 1956-1960 Federal Years and vol. 2 is King 1960-1964 King years.

you can buy some of them online for cheaper, like 69 and 75 bucks. but only one or two sets. the rest are about 110.

I have the first three. They are worth the money. Don't buy any new $450 boots this month and spend the money on that. biggrin

I don't have those particular CD sets, but I do have these two box sets:

there's no B-sides or any extra bonuses, just the hits. But it's alot cheaper than those Limited Edition sets.
