And Seu Jorge did some awesome versions in Portuguese! The coolest part is that he only kept the melody and made new lyrics in Portuguese! Shame all of you don't know portuguse! So I'm the only orger to understand all the versions because I'm portuguese! Isn't it evil???

Yes, The Life Aquatic. Fun stuff. right, the guy sang in a foreign language, and they used some original versions as well. That movie was very stoney, like another submarine movie with good music I know. My Legacy

I can see how it might be tough for some people cuz it ain't a pretty album. It's probably my 3rd favest Bowie record after Low and Ziggy. I am loving PARTS of it (Repetition!), up til now, but I am trying to find the ties that bind the songs together as a whole. The biggest reason for being prejudiced about the album is that everybody keeps refering to the three Berlin albums, while to me Lodger feels a bit too seperated from Low, and you know how much I love and adore that one. I like that. In ways, Lodger to me is like Madonna's Music, a cold shower after the hot tub that is Ray Of Light, hehehe. But as a collection of snapshots it is indeed way easier to digest.

It is junkier sounding and a lot more gnarled than the other Berlin era stuff, and in that way it seems to go better with "Scary Monsters". In its own way, just like Low and Heroes, it can be divided clearly in halves - the first half clearly being a schizo travelogue and the 2nd being a strange commentary on regrets and responsibility - another tie to Scary Monsters.
