Yeah,it's one of her worst songs. The 80s was a rough time for many artists who were popular in the 70s.Donna Summer's output during this period was spotty as well.

Diana had some great stuff at the start of the decade such as "I'm Coming Out" and "Upside Down". As for Donna, I loved "The Wanderer", "Love Is In Control", and "She Works Hard For The Money". Stuff like "State of Independence" and "Woman In Me" is what I didn't like.

I like it too.

Her videos are either really lame and boring or intentionally entertaining("Muscles"...what herion addict made that video!). I noticed that in late 2005, Univerisal released two Olivia Newton John video sets ("Gold 1 and 2", which half of her face showing on both sets, but them togethe for her full head on picture) and for some reason, I decided to buy them on Youtube. Very entertaining stuff. Last year, they released the smae type of Reba McEntire. A Diana Ross set like that would be hilarious as all hell and probably a decent seller, too.

I find "Donna Summer", the album, kind of messed up. She slightly improved, IMHO, with "All Systems Go", but no one heard or cared. It was very slick and eighties but Donna found her voice and a little passion. On DS, she is buried by production but I find "The Woman In Me" listenable. Most of those songs would've probably sounded a bit better with some actual writing input from Donna (although "Living In America", a terrible track, would beg to differ) and Micheal Ormatrin's production.

Actually, the way the story goes; it was the Bee Gee's that wrote the song and Mike was in the studio at the time just hanging out. When he heard the track, he though that something was missing. He then asked, Barry if he could add a backgroud "scat" vocal to it. Barry said okay and michael got a writer's credit. I don't know about the producer's thing though.

I think Diana fared better in the 80s than Donna did.Her singles were better.I love the entire 'Diana' album produced by Chic, and much of the 'Why Do Fools Fall In Love' album. Her 1984 album 'Swept Away' is also very good.

Wow,I didn't know that.I always assumed the song was (mostly) Michael's creation. It has that 'Thriller/Heartbreak Hotel'-like creepiness about it.To me,it doesn't sound like a Bee Gees song at all.

When Diana Ross used to perform "Muscles" in concert, she would begin the song by saying "Michael Jackson wrote this song for me,but I don't know if it's his fantasy or mine" lol
