"Play Some Blues" by Zapp I just don't care....what you play
You ain't played enough till you played some blues..... Great 1983 jam from Zapp. It reminded me a lot of "Doo Wah Ditty". Andy is a four letter word.

It was great to hear some funk in the early 1990s, since funk seemed to be extinct by then. My favorite song on the album was "Break Through". I also loved "Prisoner Of Love" and "Everybody Get Up". I think I like "You Should Be Mine" the best, but the rhythm guitar on "Break Through" is fucking sublime [Edited 1/4/07 7:18am] |

The remix I heard sounded like it was trying to appeal to a hip hop audience. I liked the original better. Bridging The Gap is a cool album. I think I like "You Should Be Mine" the best,
That song was OK but the rhythm guitar on "Break Through" is fucking sublime

I never knew he had a video for this song. This was my favorite from bridging the gap too. I agree with the vainandy this album gave along with mint condition's debut meant to be mint were the two albums around that time that gave us a taste of funk because r&b bands were dying and giving way to the cheesy new jack sound. Yes roger bought the funk on this album with everybody get up, you should be mine, and breakthrough. Yall gonna make me pull out that cassette. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint
