I did like his song Relax, but while he does have a nice voice, he does sound rather dated. I appreciate the Queen influence, but I'm of the opinion that one Queen was enough and Freddie Mercury was just a more powerful vocalist. If you're going to have a Queen influence, you better have the chops to pull it off.

To survive or make a mark, he would have to be a bit more original because he's mimicking so many different artists and the music of the 70s that it's difficult for me to get into HIM as an artist. His individuality gets lost because one minute I hear Queen, the next Elton John and then I see Beck. He just doesn't have the power to stand out there on his own.

Yh i get what you mean with the queen thing.Hes got a huge buzz here in the UK, previous winners in the poll have always gone on to do well. He noted prince as a big influence too. I think he'l definatly hit no1 with grace kelly in the UK.

He's good but I'd like him more if he sounded less like The Monkees.

He's number 1 in the UK! The album is AWSOME! "Love today" is very prince sounding!
