There are three sides to every story. My side, your side, and the truth. And no one is lying. Memories shared serve each one differently

I always thought Combat Rock sounded a touch thin, but maybe I've got a crap vinyl pressing.

and yup, those PiL and Can records do sound amazing, don't they?

Real talk nod

I'll pick the WEAKEST example here; "For You" if that isn't a well produced record(a DAMN good debut @ that, mind you), I don't know what is.

F'real. And he got loads better with each release during the 80's.

i think he is adeguate...sometimes good...but great? no way jose. the layered vocals are too much at times...the arrangements are great on albums like Lovesexy & Prade but the production muddles...and the 90's and 00 albums are just way way to overproduced.

IMHO.
Space for sale...

LOL I know, I overlooked their mention on puprose. Its her vision.

Her situation is similiar to Marvin when those musicians sued him for not including them in the production credit for "Whats Going On".

Yeah, Lauryn's producers had a valid gripe: Hers was the hottest album of the late nineties and it made her a huge star (before she lost her mind). To not get proper credit on that kind of project would steam anyone's socks.

Jury's gonna be out for days, if not weeks, on that question.

I move to set aside the judgment and it will be granted.
