What do you consider the best live concert albums?

Official releases only please!

James Brown's Sex Machine is what inspired this question.

I love those and "David Live", but I find the one that I'm most often in the mood for is the soundtrack from the Ziggy movie.

maybe i'm more burnt out on the ziggy live album than i am the others...they're all good. my least favorite bowie live album is "liveandwell.com", and even that has some keepers on it.

i think the soundtrack is far more interesting than the movie, but it was interesting to see sting rehearsing with that band.

Yeah. That one would be better if it was just highlights of one show from the Outside or Earthling tours instead of a combo platter.

I think that as stuck in a rut Kurt felt near the end of his life, this album shows that he was most definitely NOT.

I'm glad both live Talking Heads albums were mentioned. They're both superb. In recent months, this one's become a favorite of mine, live or otherwise:

I remember at least 1 major dire straits fan on here, but Knofler is extremely overlooked as a guitar player. Fuck knows how he plays without a plectrum.

No one ever mentions 'Under a Blood Red Sky' in these conversations, but it's probably my favorite live album other than 'Stop Making Sense'. One of my earliest musical memories is of my father playing '...Blood Red...' ad naseum. Never really appreciated it until I went away to college and got hardcore into U2. Now I absolutely adore it.
