Something about him always irritated me - I always felt he tried too hard to make it known how "down" he was and how much he was influenced by black music. It had me wondering, at times, just how genuine he was. It never seemed as if the "real" John B., as an artist, ever showed himself.

I do dig his songwriting skills, though.

I like Jon. Really, I do. With that said, I keep picturing that SNL skit with Justin and Andy Samberg. He was mocking the Jon B look. nod

A little bit, but I see more of a mocking of the Color Me Badd lead singer. JT better be careful, or else in ten years, he'll get the same treatment.
