Girl U know It's True - Milli Vanilli
(i wonder what the real vocalist of the song r doing?)

50 Cent(the mosty hated artist on the ORG) Fiddy is like Flavor of Love, he's ignorant, embarrasing, & degrading, but U keep tuning in to see what he is going to say next.

Ace

"Fastlove" - George Michael

"Lost without Each Other"
- Hanson (the lyrics are bullshit, but the pre-chorus and the rest of the hooks are the shit; a brilliantly constructed and produced track)

"4ever" - The Veronicas (see my comments about "Lost without Each Other").

"Cherry Bomb" - John Mellencamp

"My Humps"

Y'know what makes me feel guilty and sheepish? It's not my appreciation for the Backstreet Boys' I Want It That Way or my Yes records; I've made my peace with that. I feel more ashamed when I post about Can or the Fall or The Handsome Family because it feels so faux-hipster-ish. I genuinely like those acts, but so does every other non-descript indie-rock fuck-head on the face of the planet.

And I have no idea who The Handsome Family is. I'm still a fuck-head though. nod

When I truly love an artist (i.e. obsessed) a part of me feels guilty redface because then I feel vulnerable. It doesn't matter who they are.

Is it guilt because you're obessing on anything or is it guilt that you're not giving the rest of the music the attention it deserves?

For me, at my age, it's guilt that I've put something up on a pedestal like I was a hero-worshipping child. It usually doesn't last for too long (unless we're talking Prince).

oh yeah...

see that's what I'm talking about... lurking

it's not really guilt, it's embarrassment at investing so much of my being in certain artists, like it's a belief system or something which not everyone would acknowledge much less agree with...

I feel the same vulnerability about my spiritual beliefs too...they're just too precious

It's just me and Mr. Shapeshifter who are clued into the wonderful and frightening world of the Fall here. That's all that I know of, anyway hmmm though I think Lilgish might be on board the Fall train, too...

What can I say? The Fall are exactly what I've always wanted music to sound like.
