The Half Moon Pub - Putney, London Ring any bells for Kate Bush, Stones or U2 fans in particular? Christmas Eve I had a lock-in at the Half Moon Pub in London, a very famous and musicially significant pub, as it turns out! Kate Bush played her very first gig there, the Stones, U2 and many other names have all played there the walls are just chockablock full of memorabelia photo's and signatures!! it's like a music museum in there!!! anyone else heard of it or been there?

I'm used to them (living in Ireland) but I thought they were unheard of in London - I certainly never got to one in all my 8 years of living there First time I went there was with friends to see a (great) band called Skeleton Crew. We got taxis (which at the time we considered an expensive luxury) from Surbiton, where we lived. It turns out they weren't playing there after all, they were actually playing in a pub called The Southampton (since demolished) in Surbiton - where we'd just come from. Ooops Lemmy, Bowie, Prince, Leonard. RIP.
