Gin Blossoms, Yes or No Ques. This group maybe a little too soft and watered down for some people's taste, especially those fans of the whole '90s alternative rock scene, but to me their songs 'Found Out About You' and 'Til I Hear It From You' are really wonderful songs that immediately bring to mind that alternative sound of the early and mid-nineties, albeit in a more mainstream way perhaps.
So what do you all think of this group? Are they to your taste or not?

I'll give them a yes. "Hey Jealousy" is one of my favorite singles of the decade. "Whitney was purely and simply one of a kind." ~ Clive Davis

my little band opened for them in milwaukee a few years back. They were totally cool and gave us the royal treatment. And though I wasn't a huge fan before meeting them, they rocked hard and put on an excellent show

As a whole, No. I still dig "Found out about you" to this day, and their bigger singles kinda make me nostalgic.

Definitely not. Too soft for me. I like bands with more bite.

I would never own their music, but I don't turn it off when it's on the radio. A little too generic for my taste, but still high quality IMO.
I was into Counting Crows, Wallflowers, and Soul Asylum back then - so I guess that "sound" was already covered in my collection.

you should be slapped. this is the music that drove me to talk radio in 1996 (though the final straw was the Bodeans). i haven't looked back. [Edited 12/30/06 22:52pm] "The world of the heterosexual is a sick and boring life. " -- Edith Massey in Female Trouble
