Gilmour's Solo On 'Another Brick In The Wall,Pt.2'-WONDERFUL! This is one of the most beautiful and atmospheric guitar solos that I have ever heard. I am not a Pink Floyd fan at all really, but this solo just gets me everytime. Its not a real mind-blowing solo of any sort, but one that you just listen to intentley and just let all of Gilmour's melodic notes and ideas get into your mind.
Does anyone think that this solo has been given its proper due enough times or do you find the solo to be one that has been underrated or overrated? [Edited 12/30/06 11:28am] [Edited 12/30/06 11:30am]

I remember learning this solo (and Gilmour's funky rhythm guitar) back in the day. Everything is "just right" in this song. Bona-fide classic. My author page: https://www.amazon.com/au...eretttruth

How about his solo on "The Final Cut" (the album title track)? "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015
