Louis Armstrong –- What a Wonderful World disbelief

The Bangles –- Walk Like an Egyptian

The Bangles –- Walk Like an Egyptian

I could make guesses about all of them but I'm pretty sure I know the actual reason behind. Now you would think it would be because it's offensive to Arabs and/or Muslims...Oh no!

It's because of the lines "If you want to find all the cops/They're hanging out at the donut shop!"
Those Bangles support Al Queda!

I don't get "Smooth Criminal" but I think you could really try reading into it. Maybe people would say the criminals that got away with 9/11 where "smooth", and all hell would break loose! But it's probably more partical, like their payola check bounced!

That list is gold. All songs by Rage Against the Machine? Christ!
And who was still playing RCHP's "Aeroplane" in 2001?
And talk about reading into songs...Pat Benatar's "Love Is a Battlefield"? Fuck right off, Clear Channel!

I'm proud to be an American
Where my government spies on me
And I won't forget my tapped phone line
Care of Bush, Rumsfeld, Cheney
And I'll gladly stand up next to you
When you read all my emails
Cause there ain't no doubt I love this land
Though my freedom's been shot to hell!

Standing on the beach
With a gun in my hand
Staring at the sky
Staring at the sand
Staring down the barrel
At the arab on the ground
See his open mouth
But I hear no sound

I'm alive
I'm dead
I'm a stranger
Killing an arab

I can turn
And walk away
Or I can fire the gun
Staring at the sky
Staring at the sun
Whichever I choose
It amounts to the same
Absolutely nothing

I'm alive
I'm dead
I'm a stranger
Killing an arab

I feel the silver jump
Smooth in my hand
Staring at the sea
Staring at the sand
Staring at myself
Reflected in the eyes
Of the dead man on the beach
The dead man on the beach

I'm alive
I'm dead
I'm the stranger
Killing an arab
a psychotic is someone who just figured out what's going on

That's it. If you read it, you should also read it's non-fiction companion, The Myth of Sisyphus, which Camus wrote at about the same time.

Of course not because the point of the list, which I believe did exsist as "suggestions", was about hyper sensivity toward the thousands killed, not in anyway directed to Arabs. Hence "Walk Like An Eygptain" being placed on the list because of the cop line, and not having anything to do with Arabs/Muslisms. I wouldn't be shocked if spins on "Killing of An Arab" increased, even if the doesn't condone that.

This list doesn't exist.
Besides, a list of inappropriate 9/11 songs with no Public Enemy songs on it is insane. "Son OF A Bush" would be at the top of this easily, even though it preceeded 9/11.
