GREAT POP/DANCE ALBUM:MISTL-bY BT

Movement In Still Life is by BT.It incorporates really catchy pop with slammin' techno and shades of trance. I do believe that anyone could find somethingt o like about this record. It is pretty dang solid. There are some deep bass vibes on the bottoms of a lot of these songs. It is really cool for cranking up in the car as you drive kinda' fast.
BT is a multi-instrumentalist/vocalist/producer,much like his hero,Prince. He has also scored the soundtracks of GO!,Fast and the Furious, and Monster.BT is also on or winding up a tour with Thomas Dolby(I just ordered Thomas Dolby's new live dvd).

Thanks for the rec.

I was just at Amoeba on Sunset over the holiday weekend and I saw copies of BT's "This Binary Universe" in the electronica section. I wanted to check it out before I bought it, but got two other albums instead. I haven't heard of Movement In Still Life... is that a newer album? Only album I really remember by him was '03's Emotional Technology.

MISTL came out in 2000. Apparently, there are 2 versions of the album;a European and an American with different track arrangement, different tracks, and the european set up as a continuous mix. Emotional Technology was actually a let-down,but has a good track or 2. R&R is another good BT cd and I ordered Binary Universe since it has been described as Brian Eno type cd.BT is really a talented guy.He was classically trained in music.

Thanks.

One thing's for sure: BT has a healthy cult following. There was always a very passionate thread popping up about him @ the other boards I go to.

I'm dabbling into instrumental electronica and dubs a lot (more on the downbeat side), so I'm going to take a listen to his back catalogue.

ET was his most mainstream record, other than that I really get the impression the guy is lost in his own world and sound and couldn't give a F all about airplay.
