Alot of you guys have been selecting his album as one of your pics of the year, but who the hell is he? i've never heard of him! lol
Is he just a US artist at the mo', or has any UK orgers heard of him?

I don't think there's such a thing as a "US artist" in today's music scene. The Internet is your friend. You can check him out on MySpace (unless you're one of those people who avoids that place like the plague). I'd start with "At the End of a Slow Dance," which is my favorite.

No he's in the UK as well, he opened up for Mary J. Blidge during her UK tour. Check out his myspace page. will give you some of his music. Although he currently has some alt. mixes up for his more hardcore fan base. Also his live shows although at first where a bit dull so some said. He's really found his energy at stage. I went to show in Boston, and he stole the show from the Brand New Heavies. He came out with a high energry set, filled w/ dualing gutiar solos,Van even did Prince like splits. in the show. As well as a high energy cover of Higher which got the whole place jumping higher! So def. check out, he's one of those most refreshing artists around. For those have seen him live, go again. he's shows are much better, i went to 3 show this year, and each time it was better then the last.

I remember talking to an orger about him via the msn and he said that Van Hunt was incredible.

Still haven't seen any of his records here in Portugal

I really hated that he only had 20 minutes to sing on the tour he did with Heahter Headley and Anthony Hamilton earlier this year...
