Tony Toni Tone's House Of Music I just ordered this joint from the internet because I lost my 1st copy of it. This was one solid, mature, and soulful record that found the Tonies returning to the music business three years later after their 1993 classic, Sons Of Soul. For some reason I loved this one better than their earlier work because it had a lot of my personal favorites. The Al-Green influenced, Thinking Of You, the celebratory, Let's Get Down, the moody and jazzy, Party Don't Cry, the funky, Annie Mae, Still A Man, and Holy Smokes and Gee Whiz are just killer. I was surprised that ten years after its release, the Tonies haven't recorded another record. Does anyone else love this record? Check me out and add me on:

...
My favorite album from them!! Although I didn't like stuff like Let's Get Down (too much like Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit'.), I loved the soul tracks ,like "Holy Smokes and Gee Whiz", Still A Man, and my favorite tune on the album is "Wild Child", their tribute to fellow Oakland funkers Tower of Power!! (they got T. O. P. alumnus Greg Adams to do the Horn arrangements....) ... " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout | |

I should dig this one out. I picked it up a fewyears ago for .99, spun it once and I remember it was very good. Thanks for reminding me. Stand at the crossroads, and look, and ask for the ancient paths...(Jeremiah 6:16) www.ancientfaithradio.com
