Love Joe Sample and the Crusaders. One of my favorite Joe Sample albums - "Voices in the Rain." It includes the song Voices in the Rain as well as a cut with Flora Purim - "Welcome to the Carnival" Great Album.

Always liked Free as the Wind - of the Crusaders. There were just so many. Good to know someone else from the Org enjoys them.
I thought it would have been great if Joe Sample could have played at the Celebration.

Joe is a fellow homeboy from Houston. His latest album "The Pecan Tree" is his latest masterpieces. His inspiration for that album was drawn from the culture and conditions of SouthEast Texas. As far as Paisley Park is concerned he did cut one album at the Park I remember reading the credits on one of his albums and it stated recorded at Paisley Park. I just cannot remember which album.
