Unfortunately we can't. When a thread is made a sticky, it automatically gets that icon. I tried to edit the thread myself to change it, but there's no option that I could find to change the icon.

Isn't it as simple as un-stickying it? Won't the thumbs up icon dissappear automatically then?

Handclapsfingasnapz said:

nope. it's also featured on the front page, hence the thumbs-up icon.

And there it is

Here are some pictures I took with my cell phone across the street from the Apollo in NYC yesterday, of the crowd waiting to get inside. They are unfortunately a little blurry, but I thought I'd post them anyway.

Head of security standing across from the Apollo in front of me

Front of Apollo - security in bright blue jackets and lines on both sides wrapping around the corner

Side of Apollo - line went down about 4 to 5 blocks around 4:15pm

Another side view of line stretching back 4 to 5 blocks.

James Brown-Godfather of Soul?
Aretha Franklin-Queen of Soul?
Michael Jackson-King of Pop?
Elvis Presley-King of Rock and Roll?

Oh really, now? So that leaves these questions:

Who's the King and Godmother of Soul?
Who's the Queen, Godfather and Godmother of Pop?
Who's the Queen, Godfather and Godmother of Rock and Roll?

And who crowned all these folks to begin with? Do you believe in and recognize all these titles? I'm not so sure.

Michael Jackson is at the funeral in Augusta, GA., it's live on CNN. Did Prince go? Is Prince paying his respects in person?

Michael Jackson speaks at James Brown's Funeral
(I typed this as I heard him speak it)

"James Brown is my greatest inspiration...When I was a child, maybe six years old, my mother would wake me up no matter what time it was to watch him perform. When I saw James Brown, I knew what I wanted to be for the rest of my life. I shall miss you, I love you so much."

(It's not word for word, and not exactly what was said, but I tried my best)

Do we really need Jesse Jackson's daughter singing? I would have preferred Patti LaBelle, Jennifer Hudson, CeCe Winans. Something more uplifting. This chick is like entertainment at the Adam's Family mansion. That's mean, she can sing, just sounds so morbid.

CNN is apparently showing the whole service live. Santita Jackson, (Jesse's daughter) just finished singing.

I dont want to say anything negative about anything right now, but I agree. Seeing Michael Jackson speak at the funeral brought tears. I know how much James Brown meant to him. Where's Prince?
