What has Youtube made you realize about certain artists.

Youtube has made me realize the originality of certain songs; such as
Aretha Franklin originally, sang Day-Dreaming

The late Minnie Ripperton originally did Memory Lane.

I've also realize how small Michael and the brothers were when he first started out and how he was so much better when he was younger.

1. Stevie Wonder, Elton John, David Bowie, Marvin Gaye, Donna Summer, Barry White, The Bee Gees, KISS, The Jacksons, Earth Wind & Fire, & ABBA own the 1970's.

2. More than ever, the 1970's & 80's are the decades that every artist from the 2000's want to be like.....and still fall short.

I'll post later if I realize anything else. smile

That no matter how great some of the legendary soul pop and soul singers of all time have been, there is a cult of Regina Vasquez fans that will post a performance of her covering their work, phrasing every song and note verbatum and being declared a better singer over the originating artist confused

falloff
My son swears by Regina. He kept raving and raving about "Regina on Youtube."
No matter what song I played, "You should hear Regina's version on Youtube."
He even said Regina did a better version of "And I am Telling u" than Jennifer Holiday.nuts
Needless to say, when I finally listened to her, I was less than impressed. lol

I second that. I can't bear to watch anything MJ pass the Bad era, because compared to the 70s everything he does just looks so contrieved, calculated and so artificial.....from his looks, voice and even his dancing.

Did I say he was crap, another deluded fan trying to twist words and views,...I've always know MJ was a shell of his former self, because fortunately I remember the days before he blew up ultra-big with Thriller and it became more to do with hype, hysteria and King of POP, but it has taken Youtube to make me realize just HOW MUCH better he was back in the day...

I second that. Fuck off.

Why is it that you call everyone who doesn't slag MJ off a "deluded fan"?

Some people still like his music. It's about personal taste and has nothing to do with delusion.

Again, fuck off.

The fact that you had to swear because I criticized your favourite popstar proves you are deluded, and the reason I called Cloudbuster "deluded" is because he tried to twist my statement, something very common amongst MJ fans...

And you and your ilk are fools for looking at this forum as a MJ board, as opposed as a Prince Forum where people are free to express their views of other artists whether good or bad, you don't have to agree with them.

If you read my post properly I was agreeing with another poster whose view was MJ was a "shell of his former self". What's wrong with that...you don't have to agree with that view, but don't try twisting things, a common MJ fan trait and then swearing when someone calls MJ fans "deluded" the fact that you continue to get hysterical on a NON-MJ forum some how reinforces the notion of MJ fans being deluded.
