Nelly Furtado Even though she's a T-dot gal, can't say I was much of a fan (despite the hookfest that was "I'm Like a Bird").
That said, the first three singles off her recent album are undeniable; they are incredibly well-produced pieces of pop. I even think the lyric to "Say It Right" is decent.

What is a T-dot gal? Is that some new Canadian slang?

"T-dot" is cheesy slang for "Toronto".

Well I would recommend the new Nelly album highly, but I think the only things we have in common musically are PJ Harvey and Fluffy so I don't know if my opinion carries that much weight.

Actually, based on my general impression of your taste, your opinion would carry a fair amount of weight with me. But, as much as I like the hooks in "Promiscuous Girl" and "Maneater", those songs are totally empty calories (actually, maybe even harmful calories) and "Say It Right"'s not enough to get me to buy it. Then again, the only music I've purchased (and I don't steal music) in the last several years is the last couple of Springsteen albums.

It's very good cake (to use my analogy from another thread).

After hearing her first album, I was disappointed in Promiscuous. It sounded like most of the songs already on the pop radio. Wanna hear me sing? www.ChampagneHoneybee.com

Well, it's a stupid song, but the production's bangin'.

It seems like these days in her carrear that she can't do anything without Timbaland, or at least without him in her videos.
Ditto for Justin too. [Edited 12/22/06 4:02am]

Smooches;) Misha! What have you been up to? It's been a LONG time Miss Thang! Yeah, I have a hard time with nelly's newer stuff when I listen to the old stuff. It sounds like she's trying not to get dropped from her label.

What's so different with the version of Loose that Walmart is selling versus the red cover everybody else is selling?
