Oh, I mean there are plenty from this list that I got into. Some I even loved. But it's been a pretty ho-hum decade compared to the 90's for me.

Yeah, they're nothing at all like Nirvana. I just mean they got to the zeitgeist before other twee bands. Sorta like Nirvana did, any many think they don't deserve to have.

I might actually make my own list of this.

There are alot on this list I agree with, and alot that I would pick that are missing.
One that is absurd to me is Sufjan Stevens at #2. It's a solid record, but come on... that's just way over the top hype IMHO. I think I did a thread like this a while back, I have my picks saved somewhere I think. I need to update it with 2006 releases I would definitely put Arcade Fire near the top. By the way - has everyone heard the new studio version of Arcade Fire's "Intervention" that BBC radio premiered recently, from their upcoming new album? Pure brilliance.... gives me chills.

Maybe Outkast's Speakerboxx - I thought that to be pretty original and enjoyable. Christian Zombie Vampires

Sorta like Nirvana did, any many think they don't deserve to have. well, arcade fire didn't blow up THAT big, other than they had lisa marie introduce them at fashion rocks when they played with bowie. actually, i think the strokes were supposed to be the "next" nirvana, but that didn't go so well.

(Yes I listened to their albums...)

No real list of the albums of the century goes without "Dark Side of the Moon" Does it?

You'll have to scroll down to #24 to find an album I unreservedly love (dylan, of course).
As for the Arcade Fire, I found their album vaguely irritating until I saw them in concert, where their overblown, pompous theatrics inflamed my annoyance into flat out hatred. [Edited 12/23/06 8:06am]
