The Fray 'How To Save A Life' - Yes or No?

This seems to me to be a classic example of a song that people will either really love or think that its a complete bore of a song. For me I really like it. I think that its got some depth to it and is a very emotional song.

Many people have dismissed them as a nothing more than an even sappier piano version of Coldplay and think that there songs are uninspired.

I can't say for sure as I have not heard their album, but I suppose it could be a collection of mostly boring tunes with pretty dull arrangements to them, but even regardless of that, I think this song deserves to be as popular and loved as it has become, especially with so much of the crap that its out there on the radio stations and in pop culture in general.

So is it 'yes' or 'no' for you with this song?

As he begins to raise his voice
You lower yours and grant him one last choice
Drive until you lose the road
Or break with the ones you've followed
He will do one of two things
He will admit to everything
Or he'll say he's just not the same
And you'll begin to wonder why you came

Where did I go wrong, I lost a friend
Somewhere along in the bitterness
And I would have stayed up with you all night
Had I known how to save a life

.

Incredible song

or

i gave it a shot,
but that song sucks,
and its not because its a piano rock song, there were lots of good ones
but yah this one seems like they watched a really bad sappy movie and wrote lyrics about it
the music is a sad attempt at making it "emotional"

Hell NO! Im so tired of these bands like Snow Patrol,Fray, and others, and even Coldplay who have all ripped off a-Ha's sound and everything they have been doing for the last 15 years. And no a-Ha is not boring like these bands becuase they craft the songs properly so they arent Boring, and they follow some sort of direction
