3 GREAT 80's' SONGS FROM MOVIE SOUNDTRACKS.

These are 3 songs that I really enjoy hearing whenever I get the chance, which is not often since they are never really played at all on the radio.

'Heart Too Hot Too Hold'-By Jesse Johnson and Stephanie Spruill from 'The Breakfast Club' soundtrack.

'So Far, So Good'-By Sheena Easton from the 'About Last Night' soundtrack.

'Playing With The Boys'-By Kenny Loggins from the 'Top Gun' soundtrack.

Anyone else familiar with these 3 songs?

I remember "Playing with the Boys"... Kenny Loggins had alot of soundtrack singles in the 80's.

Danger Zone, Footloose, I'm Free.... i'm sure there were others. Didn't he have one called "I'm Alright" as well?

Of course, that is from the classic 1980 film 'Caddyshack'. He also had a rather nice song from the film 'Over The Top' starring Sly Stallone from 1987 called 'Meet Me Half Way'.

Anyone here remember the main instrumental movie theme to 'ST. ELMO'S FIRE' by David Foster?

Yeah, I suppose they are pretty obscure songs to most people. You would really have to see those movies to have a chance to be able to hear them.

Irene Cara - "Flashdance... What a feeling" (Flashdance)

I have to see The breakfast club again, if only for the Jesse Johnson track nod

And i`m curious about the Kenny Loggins song, the only thing i know by him is "Footloose", which i LOVE!!! excited dancing jig worship

I haven`t seen that movie in a long, long time either... I`m a sucker for just about EVERYTHING 80s, especially movies and the soundtracks love So thanks for making this thread, maybe i can learn something new today wink

Believe me, the Jesse Johnson song is really great! Its got a wonderful 80s type sound to it, but defianetly not in a cheesy or dated way and it may have just a little hint of his guitar playing in there as well.
I am pretty sure that they don't play the entire song during the movie, so if you really would like to hear the whole thing I suppose that the actual movie soundtrack would be the only way. But like I said the song to me just has an amazing sounding vibe to it. You can also check out some 30 second samples of it at various places throughout the web such as Amazon.com if you wish.
