TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART

I just love this song. LOVE. IT. cool

So bombastic. So wonderfully over-the-top. Such great vocals.

The drama.... the passion.... the fog and flying doves in the video.....

Is there any better 80's bliss than this? headbang

I have a weakness for bombastic Jim Stienmenn productions...and this was the BEST one!

Bonnie Tyler's raspy voice just made it so great. She and Jim tried to recapture the same magic in '96 with 'Making Love Out of Nothing At All' and though I thought it was good...it did not come close to TEOTH....the way that song builds and builds and explodes...WOW!

peace
Every minute of last night is on my face today....

It's been "Angels Son" (the original version) by Lajon Witherspoon, then done by his band Sevendust ....and a song by a virtual "unknown" singer here in London that brought me to tears when I heard it live

nod same here. I love Jim Steinman's work. It's fun to sing along with in the car. cool

I did like the version of "Making Love Out of Nothing At All" that they did in the 90's. That same album had a great version of "Bridge Over Troubled Water" by Bonnie. She really did a nice job on it.

hell yes, I love me some Jim Steinman every once in a while

I got dance in my pants
Every time I feel the power in a radio wave
I turn it up all the way
I got dance in my pants
Every time I see the glory of a good-looking face
Well I just got to say:"Hey now, don't you worry baby, everything'll be fine
We got nothing but the best and we got nothing but time
And there'll always be a time when they'll be waiting in line
To be dancing, dancing..."

headbang
