MESHELL: recent LIVE sets... Meshell fans i suggest you head over to http://www.freemyheart.com ...
once you're there go the "Polylogue" section , then go into the "Concerts" section and look for the thread titled "Saturday's Zurich Concert to be broadcasted on radio..."...in that thread scroll down to a post by michel (the one "Posted 11-10-06 10:47")...its a downloadable mp3 recording of an fm/internet radio broadcast of a recent (11/4) Meshell gig in Zurich where she's breaking in yet another different lineup of musicians and taking no prisoners at all...don't miss out...go get it while ya can...thanks again to michel for taking the time to share it.. also here below is another link to a previous radio broadcast (this link is only good for a few more days) of a an older show she did in Rome back in May... (mp3 format, this one is only up until 11/13 or 11/14 ) http://download.yousendit...506A3EB558 also check out her myspace area ( http://www.myspace.com/of...degeocello )... it has video clips of meshell from all over the place including clips from recent gigs as well... enjoy... . oh yeah...and after you dL it and hear this 11/4 Zurich show several times...after it settles in and you get familiar with these grooves...please post back and share your thoughts...which songs hit you hardest and so forth...

(A slightly different studio version of that tune is on the EP) i was drivin through the city yesterday with the windows down and sunroof open cranking this live Zurich show...pulled up to a stoplight and the folks in the car next to me can hear it they're like... "who's that you're playin?!" "meshell ndegeocello!" "who??" "meshell ndegeocello!" "??..well, it sounds pretty good!" "yeah it is!" green light... i think Sloganeer was playin at the time...but it may have been 'Soul Spaceship' ... either way this show KICKS ASS!! | |
