Obsessive fans

Do you consider yourself an obsessive fan of any particular artist (prince or anyone else)?
I mean the kind that buys EVERY memorabilia you can get your hands on and use a room just for your collection?

btw, this is not me.... lol
but i would like his copy of "Stars" nod

I've had my bouts of obsession w/ Princey - buying mags knowing the interview would be total worthless shit, getting the album on day 1 & listening daily for weeks at a time, being "excited" in general about him (never had a room for the mf though hmm lol )...

BUT he's boring me lately sad I still lub him, always will. But 3121 burnt out FAST for me, his performances of late have been lackluster, I have yet to check more than one Vegas review (& I once lived on reviews just to be jealous lol ). I want him to rock my shit again - he's been coasting for quite a while, he needs to do something sassy like NOW yawn And the alien twins do NOT qualify exclaim
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I haven`t heard "3121" in ages. I listened a lot to it the first week, but i don`t think i`ve even touched the cd since...

I generally stick to the albums when it comes to Prince and my other favorites, although i did buy a few "Controversy" magazines on ebay a while ago lol GREAT pictures....

I agree with everything you said.In the 80s,I was a total Prince fanatic.I collected every Black Beat and Right On magazine that featured him,I bought every album on the day of release,I camped out to buy concert tix,I even went to the theatre and saw 'Graffiti Bridge' on the day of release nuts but these days,I don't go crazy like that anymore.I still follow his career and occasionally buy his latest music, but I wouldn't call myself a Prince fanatic anymore. To be honest,I'm more interested in his old music.I'd rather have a remastered '1999' CD with a bonus disc of outtakes, instead of a brand new album from him boxed

See what age will do to you??? You've just matured and so has he. My heart still races when i hear his voice and/or see him on stage. He's like fine wine and has only gotten smoother over time. He's sexier than ever! cool

I feel exactly the same way as both of you: I guess we must be what people are talking about when they refer to his older generation of fans...back then he was really doing exciting things...oh well..

Harlepolis

I used to consider myself an obsessive fan up until I saw this thread lol

The most EXTREME thing I would go for is collecting videos from my fave artist(which mind you, I'm not good @ that lol), thats my OWN personal level of obsession.

But ya'll disbelief lol
