What a great album that came from this year...

A few, I don't really dig, but for the most part.. a very solid album

anyone dig this electropop album? got a little soul in it.. i tell ya.. Over and Over, and Boy From School are two solid tracks.

i really liked their release before this one.

i'm Very curious about The Warning.

This is a very good album. It's even better live.

I was surprised by how passionate and rich Goddard sounds live performing these songs. Really gave them a new dimension. Hot Chip does a great job of making electronic music warm to me. Just like you said, there's some soul there.

"Over and Over" was one of those furious, hyper club songs you COULD NOT avoid in New York. All the cool DJs knew what was up with this track. I went oFF when this was playing @ one gig.

Plus, I really enjoyed "Tchaparian" and "(Just Like We) Breakdown."

P.S. "Arrest Yourself" is the shit on that album, too !

yeah arrest yourself is a good one...

a great album. i played the hell out of the track "arrest yourself" on my net radio. it should have been a single.

Yes. Fav song on The Warning for me is Careful. Coming On Strong was totally different, more midtempo, more funk. Very much Prince influenced!
Anyway, The Warning is one of the best albums of 2006.

saw them support Goldfrap this year at the Apollo in Manchester, was seriously not impressed, a very one dimensional band. It'll be interesting to hear the CD though, the only link to prince is their understanding of 'groove'. They are very much a work in progress from what i saw, so expect them to get a lot more slick.

Hot Chip rocked my world live. I was a sweaty mess @ the end. That's all I gotta say on that.
