Sorry but I still have beef with her. This chick went on t.v. after she rode "Tell It To My Heart" to the top of the charts and when she released her 2nd album which was more rock, she crapped on R&B saying (I'm paraphrasing here) "I didn't really like that style of music; the record company made me do it. I've always been a rocker at heart." If you've always been a rocker at heart, then do ROCK MUSIC, bi***. That interview with her never sat well with me and I've always thought of her as fake since then. She's not the only one but I have no love for people like that. If she had said that beforehand, I guarentee that she wouldn't have had a hit record.

^ Uh, what about Pink?

Her first CD was R&B, but she went pop/rock on her 2nd. She kept that sound since then. Many artists change their sound over the years, it's called keeping up with the times.

Mariah Carey also wanted to stay relevant, so she's been making music more for the teenagers now.

i think i saw that inteview a long time ago.

i think she was talking more about DANCE music rathe than R&B.

she is clearly influenced by R&B singers like Aretha etc. And on he 2nd album she did a Barry White cover. Can't Get Enough Of your Love. harly hatin' on R&B
