I just discovered Kylie Minogue (don't hate)

My co-woker let me listen to Body Language today and I liked it. I can only describe it a cute and fun. Should I start with this albumn or does anyone recommend any others by her?

Ehhh...I'm not a huge fan of that one. It's pure camp, and not really what I consider the good kind of camp lol

My fav song off there is Please Stay, even though everyone else seems to hate it lol Love the melody music

The only reason I give Kylie props is she just basically does what whoever producers her tells her to do.

She doesn't seem to be all about her "art" and crap like some other talentless whore.

I like the song 'Chocolaate'. Very fun catchy, sexy, disco-pop...great for a girlie night doing your nails at home, or when you're about to have a hot date cool

I think it's because since the 90's, imports and music that used to make it over here ala new wave stopped "being popular". She never got over here as she was never promoted over here. Before Fever, really all we had was I should be so Lucky and Locomotion.

I just recently got into her. I bought Fever and liked it. I also got Ultimate Kylie and that's all I needed. The others are very hard to find (pre Fever) and/or are expensive.

So let me ask ya, cause you folks are a rather knowledgable and musically discerning bunch: say I wanted to send a copy of that single to one of my most EXACTING, high brow artsy fartsy friends in New York who 'eschews' all things pop post 1990...are they going to think I'm a retard because I had the 'audacity' to infect their iTunes playlist with a (gasp! eek ) Kylie song?

...or should I just be sneaky about it and remove her name from the mp3 before they can pass judgement? Knowing the other things that turn them on, musically I think they could like this tune, but I don't want them to get caught up on the name wink

I sampled Fever yesterday on connect and it is too disco/house for me

I bought the single to Love at first sight a while back and it had the b-side "Baby" and Blue Monday and I liked it

The only thing available on connect is
Maximum Kylie
Hits +
Greatest Hits 87-97
Fever

I think I'll start with Body Language and work backwards

Thats where I find alot of good stuff. Last time I went there were
several Kylie cds. I just picked Light Years cause I liked the cover and it seemed to be an org favorite lol

obsessed

I love Kylie...someone back at NPGMC got me started on her....so far I have
Fever, Body Language, and Ultimate Kylie...I'd like to get more, but as
someone said, the others are hard to find in the USA, and if you order
imports they're very expensive.

I know I'll eventually get more though. 'Slow' and 'Come Into My World' are
just two of my favs....and if you have the Aussie version of Fever, the
bonus track 'Tightrope' is great.... cool
