While Madonna's is a great song and is done in the girl-group style of the 60's, Gwen's is terrible crap done in the shit-hop style of the 90's and includes a bullshit rap. I don't see much similarity in the structure once you make it out of the Sweet Escape intro and into the song itself.

there are uncamnny similarities imo. The Sweet Escape is faster than True blue in tempo.

Isn't it? I thought that too. But compared to THAT song...Sweet Escape is MUCH better.

But considering TB was like 20 yrs ago, I can forgive Gwenny Gwen Gwen...

It is. Play it and you'll hear the similarities. It was the first thing that came to mind when I heard it.

I can kinda see why you would say that as they have a similar vibe but it they don't sound alike to me at all.

it totally is! that's so funny you're syaing this because we were talking about that on the drive back from the airport last night. it came on and we immediately said it was the true blue of her record. and "now that you got it" reminds me of something from bedtime stories or erotica but i can't put my finger on it just yet...it'll come to me.

and flourescent reminds me of a few prince tracks from emancipation but executed better. i wanna say i hear "damned if i do" in there but i'd have to listen to the cd (emancipation) to be sure.

has anyone noticed the rip from fleetwood mac's "seven wonders" that shows up in "4 in the morning"? its most audible towards the end, right around 4:28.

Gwenny's new album still sucks in my opinion and I'm still protesting her!

but the title track is almost likeable boxed
at least she's singing and not just talking to the beat, ala Fergie! mad
If you will, so will I
