Good point Rio. All these interchangeable bands that you can never remember the names of make me totally sick. It makes me ashamed to say that I still like rock cuz I haven't found a whole lot over the past 5 years in that genre to dig into unless it's old.

She just shakes her ass and flings her hair around.Her songs are watered down Latin pop crap,and she is grossly over-hyped and over-exposed.One critic referred to her as "this year's Andrea True" and I have to agree...lol... about the shakira thing, i have to say i'm not really feeling it either. but she's a crescent moon artist (read: SONY subsidiary owned by emilio estefan) and those folks look like they're in dire need of some hits since gloria's chilling out. i almost feel like she's the "heir apparent" to the (miami based) latin pop princess thing now, which is a pity, cause her voice dosen't really seem suited for it. i lived in south america when she was famous for doing rock music in the mid-late 90's and it was much more, well, appealing. she was the "emotive girl with the guitar" who was kind of like a latin alanis morrisette- sensitive, introspective ...and BRUNETTE!!! she was so LILITH FAIR, but in spanish! wherever THAT shakira went, i hope she makes an appearance again, someday...although i doubt seriously that it would happen anytime soon... | |

I'd have to agree with every artist on everyone's list.
The only good thing is that more and more people are getting sick of radio and the pop crap(& yes i categorize current r&b and rap as "popcrap") that is floating around out there! Also, while we wait for the next revolution in music, there are tons of unhyped artists out there making music and all of the older, talented favs are still releasing music, just with not as much recognition!I am confident that there is hope for another music revolution, especially since it is publicly acknowledged that MJ is over, even though he had been for years! | |

They stand out from the other rock acts out there, and the lead singer's voice is unique. When you hear them, you know it's them, unlike the pop acts who all sound alike.
