Rediscovered: 'Life's Too Good' The Sugarcubes

This stuff is way better than all the weird stuff Bjork made after this band split up!

I agree 100000%

I can listen to very little solo Bjork. It just strikes me as self-indulgent crap with little or no melody to speak of. I respect her talent and I love her voice, and I don't even mind the SOUND of the solo stuff, but the songs are just a mess.

Sugarcubes, though... they rocked, especially on "Life's Too Good." Great, primal, rock.

Am I dating myself? cool I remember when Sugarcubes first came out and fell in love with them then.. I was sad when they broke up, and I LOATHED Bjork's solo debut.

Funny thing is, it is ALL melody, and it is clear when you hear string quartets play Bjork's songs.

I remember seeing the video for Birthday late at night on some video show that wasn't MTV before their album came out and became an instant fan.

I'm constantly baffled by the things I read and hear about her.

I had no idea you felt that way.

It just seems unusual given all the other music you love.

I know... sad I wish I could get into her solo stuff, cuz I WANT to like it, but it just grates my nerves for some reason.

Oh well. cool I do like "I've Seen it All" and a few other select tracks.

I love the Sugarcubes. I wish Bjork would have stayed with them.

I love them too, but she was meant to be a solo artist.
