So I'm staring into the blueish glow of the screen listening to WOXY.COM which has a stream devoted to Christmas music with a heavy rotation of Modern Rock/Alternative artist from the past 30 yrs.

Which made me think of one of my favorite Christmas song:

Christmas Wrapping by the Waitresses always gets a few plays from me around this time of year.

2000 Miles by the Pretenders is my fav. It's one of the only Christmas songs I can bear to listen to during other times of the year.

Captain Sensible - One Christmas Catalogue, is one of the best.

Has anyone heard Book Of Love's "We Three Kings"? It's very 80s synth-pop.

it ain't alternative or modern rock, but the merry crassmas single from crass is one of my all-time faves for the holiday.

Would the Ramones "Merry Christmas (I don't Want To Fight No More)" count? I would put them in alt rock more than hard rock.

Has anyone ever heard "Christmas Sucks" by Peter Murphy and Tom Waits? I think it may be a parody, but I'm not entirely sure.

I just discovered today that The Killers teamed with Toni Halliday (formerly of Curve) for a holiday song called "A Great Big Sled". I have to find that. I loved Curve back in the 90s.

Like I stated at the beginning WWW.Woxy.Com has a holiday stream and most if not all of the songs listed so far are being played on there. You even get some Old Classic Christmas stuff thats throwin in the mix.
