FAV ALT/MODERN ROCK CHRISTMAS SONG!

So I'm staring into the blueish glow of the screen listening to WOXY.COM which has a stream devoted to Christmas music with a heavy rotation of Modern Rock/Alternative artist from the past 30 yrs.

Which made me think of one of my favorite Christmas song:

Fairytale of New York
The Pogues/Kirsty McColl:

It was christmas eve babe
In the drunk tank
An old man said to me, wont see another one
And then he sang a song
The rare old mountain dew
I turned my face away
And dreamed about you

Got on a lucky one
Came in eighteen to one
Ive got a feeling
This years for me and you
So happy christmas
I love you baby
I can see a better time
When all our dreams come true

Theyve got cars big as bars
Theyve got rivers of gold
But the wind goes right through you
Its no place for the old
When you first took my hand
On a cold christmas eve
You promised me
Broadway was waiting for me

You were handsome
You were pretty
Queen of new york city
When the band finished playing
They howled out for more
Sinatra was swinging,
All the drunks they were singing
We kissed on a corner
Then danced through the night

The boys of the nypd choir
Were singing galway bay
And the bells were ringing out
For christmas day

Youre a bum
Youre a punk
Youre an old slut on junk
Lying there almost dead on a drip in that bed
You scumbag, you maggot
You cheap lousy faggot
Happy christmas your arse
I pray God its our last

I could have been someone
Well so could anyone
You took my dreams from me
When I first found you
I kept them with me babe
I put them with my own
Cant make it all alone
Ive built my dreams around you.

So In the joy of the holiday season, what is your favorite xmas song?

2000 Miles by the Pretenders is my fav. It's one of the only Christmas songs I can bear to listen to during other times of the year.

Nerf Herder
"I've got a boner for Christmas"

Mend up your stocking hole
Cause this lump ain't made of coal
I've got a boner for Christmas

Cranberry sauce, green beans and muffins
You be the turkey and I'm the stuffing
I've got a boner for Christmas

Singin' joy to the world!
To each and every girl
To a-all of your girls
O-oooh

Go!

Oooh, oooh, ooooh
Yeah!
Oooh, oooh, ooooh

Hang up your christmas stocking
And let me put my cock in
I've got a boner for Christmas

All year you've been in a rut
This time let's do it in the butt
I've got a boner for Christmas

Singing joy to the world.
Each and every girl.
To a-all of your girls
O-oooh.
I've got a boner
O-oooh
For Christmas

Has anyone heard Book Of Love's "We Three Kings"? It's very 80s synth-pop.

Would the Ramones "Merry Christmas (I don't Want To Fight No More)" count? I would put them in alt rock more than hard rock.

Has anyone ever heard "Christmas Sucks" by Peter Murphy and Tom Waits? I think it may be a parody, but I'm not entirely sure.

The song that makes me want to kill someone is "Frosty the Snowman" by the Cocteau Twins. They should NOT have done it.

Their cover of "Winter Wonderland" is way better though.

I just discovered today that The Killers teamed with Toni Halliday (formerly of Curve) for a holiday song called "A Great Big Sled". I have to find that. I loved Curve back in the 90s.
