i have tix for tuesday, december 12th in atlanta. i have heard several shows (milano, london, and berlin), and they sound great.
initially, i was sort of skeptical, because i don't generally like "tribute" bands/shows, but this looks like something special.

well, i saw the zappa plays zappa show here in atlanta on tuesday dec 12. very enjoyable. we got a treat others will not, in that denny walley (slide guitar player who was on bongo fury, joe's garage, etc) lives in atlanta, and played with the band for "advanced romance".

nice to see how much Dweezil has evolved by taking a year in the studio to study more progressive music...

Steve Vai's solo was GREAT...that man is bad...

apparently this will be a yearly event. dweezil plans to make this a regular touring band.

I've always loved Dweezil's playing. I even have his first two solo albums on cassette. I even watched that short-lived sitcom he and Moon Unit starred in with Cindy Williams just to see him play...
