That song is a JAM!  killer bassline
Big hit back in 1979.I was just listening to a Narada Michael Walden compilation last week.Remember his underrated 1985 duet with Patti Austin "Gimme Gimme Gimme"? I still got that song in my head. | |

I`m familiar with many of the songs he`s written for other artists, like Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Stacy Lattisaw and Mariah Carey, but his own albums are new to me. I`ll definitely get "Awakening", i see it`s available on cd (and still in print) | |

The only song I know by him solo is "The Way I Feel ABout Cha" and it wasnt even a single. Straight Jacket Funk Affair

I wish I could find some clips of the first group I saw him playing bass in during the early 80s. The group was called Taxxi and he was called Randy "The Emperor" Jackson back then.

Yup, that's how he's credited on the Narada albums, too! (from '80-'83)
