Stacy Lattisaw's New Wave hit "Million Dollar Babe" from 1983

Who remembers this fun, charming song from 1983? It was somewhat of a departure for Stacy....it's New Wave/pop as opposed to her usual R&B hits.

I saw this the other day, but i`m not crazy about the song. Fun video though... nod

Have you heard her "Personal attention" album?
I`m so curious about the song "Love town" and the remake of "Ain`t no mountain high enough" with Howard Hewett

btw, how`s you P.I.R collection going, bought any Jean Carn albums?

lol did you read the comment by one viewer?

This was painful to watch. The director of this video should be shot. What kind of dance was Stacy doing?

Let's blame it on the crazy 80s,lol

I didn't know that one. The bass line sounds like Hall and Oates' Man Eater.

nod It really does. The 80s was filled with songs like this:

"Part Time Lover" by Stevie Wonder
"Two Hearts" by Phil Collins
"Gimme Gimme Gimme" by Narada Michael Walden and Patti Austin

These songs all have a 60s Motown feel to them.

It's a charming little number.I remember hearing it alot in late 1983.Around that time, many R&B artists were adding a little New Wave and pop to their sound. The early 80s was an exciting time for R&B music.Hey...that's a great topic for another thread hmmm lol
