Talk about obscure talent...


The self-titled song was sampled by J.Lo and LL Cool J in her song "All I Have" if anybody recollects at that.

"Very Special" was the only song I ever heard from her.

Just the one cut because it was sampled so many times, even before J.Lo got her tentacles on it.

Of course I remember this. I still have the 7" 45. Came out in the fall of '81. Every Thursday was Disco Night at my alma mater(Adelphi Univ.) When 'Very Special' came on, it was time to slow grind.

Thanks for posting the pic. I had never seen her before and isn't her family also talented? Her brother is Ronnie Laws right?

I saw Ronnie Laws over the summer. He did Friends and Strangers and tore the place down.
