Cher has a lot of great tracks. And she was one hell of an actress back in the 80's.

See! It's confirmed then. biggrin

I like her way better for her acting though. Silkwood-Mask-Moonstruck = great trilogy for a rainy weekend.

Are you kidding? I love me some Cher! Have since I was a little kid envying Chastity for having the coolest parents on tv.

I love her tv shows...thank heavens for the internet!

I love the way she dressed...Cher has worn some of the most incredible outfits...I swear I'd love to go shopping with Cher and Prince!

I love her movies...The Witches of Eastwick is one of my guilty pleasures.

I love her music and her lives shows are fantastic!

I guess it's safe to say that I'm a Cher fan! cool

Her most satisfying listen is the import version of this...

The import verison is brilliant beyond belief....Yet the US verison, which came later, is neutered like a motherfucker for some reason!

Cher is great and it's cool how she skips from genre to genre. It's obviously about marketing but she usaully fits into everything she does well. A Cher country album might not be terrible! I wish Warners would finally rerelease those mid seventies albums of hers! She's still on there, isn't she? I find it funny what does get rereleased over and over but they are so unwillingly to bend on those albums....I'm sure fans email them!

Is anyone else here familiar with her live cover of "Many rivers to cross" from The Mirage? It appeared on her greatest hits collection in the early 90s?

She sounded incredible, one of my favorite Cher songs.

I wish i could have seen her live. I bought tickets and expensive plane tickets too see her here in Norway during the Farewell tour, but it was cancelled because she had pnuemonia mad
However, i did get to see David Bowie a few days after, the concert where a crazy woman threw a lollipop in his eye (the bad one...)

It's a good song. I often confuse it with another kind of forgotten track from the early ninties that slipped through the cracks called "Love Can Build A Bridge", which she did with Nenah Cherry, Chrisie Hynde and I think Eric Clapton on guitar.

And that lollipop thing is one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. I'm always freaked out something will happen to my eyes and when you see stuff like that....Ouch!

Thing about Cher is that every second decade or so she taps in to what is just starting to become huge. Her primes have been the late 60's/early 70's, late 80's, late 90's/early 00's and unless she's dead in the next 15 years I'm sure she'll stumble onto a hit again.

I know she dislikes her voice but I think it's gorgeous and full of emotion. I love "One By One".

It was kinda scary, at first nobody knew what happened, and he got really pissed (who wouldn`t...). Luckily, he kept on singing biggrin

I read an interview with the woman who threw the lollipop a few days after the incident. She said that she didn`t do it on purpose, and talked about how scared she was afterwards. I`m glad i weren`t in her shoes then, the audience was like a mob...
