That song is a JAM! killer bassline
Big hit back in 1979.I was just listening to a Narada Michael Walden compilation last week.Remember his underrated 1985 duet with Patti Austin "Gimme Gimme Gimme"? I still got that song in my head.

It's Cool...IMO, the Best Tracks are "Should've Loved Ya", the great ballad, " Why Did You Turn Me On"(he later gave a version to Phyllis Hyman), "Carry On", and then the rock-fusion masterpiece of the title track... But I still Think his best album is "Awakening" [contains the 1979 hit, I Don't Want Nobody Else (To Dance With You)]..... ... You`re like a music encyclopedia, always great posts I`m familiar with many of the songs he`s written for other artists, like Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Stacy Lattisaw and Mariah Carey, but his own albums are new to me. I`ll definitely get "Awakening", i see it`s available on cd (and still in print)

I wish I could find some clips of the first group I saw him playing bass in during the early 80s. The group was called Taxxi and he was called Randy "The Emperor" Jackson back then. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Yup, that's how he's credited on the Narada albums, too! (from '80-'83) He played some impressive Bass with Jean Luc Ponty, too, during that same period.... ... [Edited 12/13/06 14:03pm] " I've got six things on my mind --you're no longer one of them." - Paddy McAloon, Prefab Sprout
