What a voice! I look forward to her new album... http://www.baltimoresun.c...&cset=true "A new album, tentatively titled Love, Niecy Style, is due out in February on the Shanachie label. A return to pop-soul, the CD is a covers project of romantic jams from the '70s and '80s - gems Williams always wanted to record: Angela Bofill's "This Time I'll Be Sweeter," Baby Washington's "That's How Heartaches Are Made," Luther Vandross' "Never Too Much" and others. Her old boss Wonder plays harmonica on the album, and Williams remakes his 1971 hit "If You Really Love Me." I`m really excited about "If you really love me", i LOVE Stevie Wonder`s original version...
She looks so cute | |

It is a magnificent debut album.Produced by Maurice White of Earth Wind and Fire, the album was released in 1976.The standout tracks are "Free","That's What Friends Are For" and "Somebody's Watching".Most of the songs are ballads and midtempo...very moody and intoxicating grooves.Deniece sings like an angel throughout.

Thanks, i`ll have to get this album, and of course "My melody", which includes the wonderful "It`s your consience". Have you heard the duet album she did with Johnny Mathis? I`ve only heard "Too Much, Too Little, Too Late", and i like that one.

I've seen Deniece in concert several times since 1996.She always opens her show with a powerful, acapella version of "God Is Amazing".It gives me goosebumps.
