I've been loving this underrated joint! I brought this back in '04 and it was in constant rotation in my CD player. My favorite cuts on this record were Wonderland, Where Do We Go From Here, Why, and Hold Me. I'm still sadden that this one flopped because it definitely sounded like the comeback their recent album, Illumination (another good EWF record) should've been.

SoulAlive

I like this album alot.Favorite songs are...

"All In The Way"---classic EW&F sound! This song is reminiscent of their best singles from the late 70s.

"Where Do We Go From Here"---This song was actually recorded in 1978 and slighly "updated" for this CD.It's a soulful gem.

"Never"---this song is cool, breezy and exotic...cool Latin groove. In many ways, this song reminds me of their 1978 classic "Fantasy".

"Hold Me"---sexy slow jam

"Let Me Love You"

'The Promise' is a genuine album that sounds like classic EW&F.I enjoy this album alot more than last year's 'Illumination',which features too many guest artists and a trendy hip-hop vibe that is annoying.
