Exclusive!! Madonna's new video---here's the scoop!! Madonna has just completed the video for her new single "Die Another Day".It is the theme song to the upcoming James Bond movie of the same name.A 36-second sample of the song is already circulating on the Internet and on various fansites. The video, which has no actual scenes from the movie, won't premiere on MTV until a few weeks, but here are all the details...
At the beginning of the video,Madonna is forced into an interrogation room by two Chinese guards. There is blood on her face and her plain clothes are slightly torn. She is in an old Chinese prison.A hebrew tattoo is visible on her right arm as they interrogate and shake their fists at her (I'm sure the Madonna haters will love this part...lol).She's visibly tough and won't give in...singing "yes" and "no" with the lyrics. Then, there's a close-up of her face and she sings "I'm gonna kiss this secret".In front of Madonna is a large table and a thick chain hanging from the ceiling behind her.She jumps from the interrogation chair and hurdles on top of the desk and starts to dance, singing "I guess I'll die another day,I guess I'll die another day!".She jumps from on top of the desk, kicks it upside down, and dances on top of it again (with the table legs up in the air). Then the guards push her down and drag her into another room where she endures Chinese water torture. The guards repeatedly dunk her head in and out of the water.Madonna is resisting, but they are too strong. She's fighting to get air everytime her face comes out of the water. As they push her face underwater,we get an underwater view of her face as she sings "I'm gonna break the cycle". Then,Madonna fences against herself...Good Vs.Evil...Good Madonna is beautiful and blond, while the Bad Madonna has blonde hair with black streaks in it.During the fight,Madonna is thrown against the wall. There is a cut on her stomach. She dances against the wall, singing "I think I'll find another way".While she sings, she smears the blodd from the cut on the wall and dances wildly (wtf??).Then Madonna swings from the chain in the interrogation room singing "For every sin I'll have to pay". Then there's a string instrumental that lasts around 9 seconds. The mirror behind her breaks and we see glass falling all around Madonna as she falls to her knees. Her body is cut up from the fencing. She stylistically moves on the floor in the middle of the glass. Then she fights herself some more. Finally,Maddy hoists herself into an electric chair. She begins to do a Jewish style prayer. The guards leave her alone as she straps herself in by wrapping the leather straps around her forearms..."Uh! Uh!" she sings. The guards make sure she's all secured as she laughs at them hysterically! There's a close-up of Madonna's face as she calms down and regains self-control.The camera moves in close on her eyes as we hear the scratchy noise of the electricity.Madonna reacts, singing "Another Day". Well, what do you think? On paper,it all sounds rather bizzare and I predict that MTV may have a problem with some of the more violent scenes (remember how they rejected the "What It Feels Like For A Girl" video?).But,if anyone can pull this off,it's Madonna.Controversial videos are her thang...lol...

Wow!!! Great description David!! I can't wait to see it. Who directed this video?? I hope it's not too racey and they will play it on Mtv. But then again, they hardly ever play videos anymore...

I'm not sure who directed the video. But I do know that Madonna injured herself slightly during the fencing scenes, and the production was delayed a few days because of it.
Have you heard the snippet from this song yet? Based on what I've heard so far,I would describe the song as a heavily orchestrated techno/funk track, very similiar to "Music" (well, the beat anyway).

No I haven't heard it yet. I went to Madonnarama.com and signed up, but the link to her new song wasn't working at the time. I'll try later during my lunch break. I can't wait to hear it!
Do you think she'll tour again when she puts out a new album? Or do you think it will be another 7 years?

Do you think she'll tour again when she puts out a new album? Or do you think it will be another 7 years? They removed the song from their site due to bandwidth problems. It was only a 36-second clip anyway, with no vocals. Last year,Madonna was asked if the 'Drowned World' tour would be her final tour. She replied "Never say never".She definitely plans to tour again, but it might be awhile.

Actually,it was just a link to the song itself, not the video.Just the first 36 seconds of the song, with no vocals. But don't worry, the video is all complete and has just been turned into MTV.It will premiere very shortly.stay tuned!
