![]() I agree and I feel the same way about these musos who feel they have to go do a friggin movie after selling a few gold albums. There have been entertainers who have been able to do both like Tom Waits, Barbara Streisand, David Bowie and it worked for them. Then you have people like Don Johnson who was a musician BEFORE he made it big in acting. Unfortunately, he never was gonna be a worthwhile musician because his music sucked like Hasselhoff, so he made a good choice to stick with acting. It just gets kind of sickening when you have people like 50, Bouncy, and now Halle wants to do an album. Why? If you're bored and you want a hobby, try knitting a sweater - then I'd be impressed. If you want to prove to your fans you can sing, go do a play and save the CD. LQ LQ

Very good points, S.O.S. Let me add to your list, the ULTIMATE performer; Sammy Davis Jr. Basically, I think there's a little bit of jealously with some folks who see other people can do more than one thing. Or have the chance at doing more than one thing. I remember how pissed off at Michael Jordon the public was when he retired from basketball and then went to play baseball. They dogged him to death. Granted, he didn't play as well on that level, but if it's the man's dream, don't resent him for the chance to do it. If Paris wants to put out an album or act in a movie; so what? I'm not going to buy her shit anyway, but I'm certainly not going to knock her for doing it. Shit, I don't know Paris. Don't know what her dreams are. Maybe Halle always wanted to sing. Good for her. Go for it. Ok, so now I'm jealous because Halle Berry might be putting out an album? ![]() "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I sooo don’t see what the big deal is.
If it’s good—great. Good for her. If it sucks—she’ll join a very long list of actors who had subpar albums and won’t try again. Her fans might buy it and those who aren’t fans will walk past it. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I suppose it's possible that it won't be terrible. I know I've bought albums before by artists that were actors first and the albums were decent.
Cree Summer Milla Jovovich Janet Jackson ![]() Plus a few soundtracks that had singing actors like: Grease Moulin Rouge Hedwig And The Angry Inch Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Once More With Feeling

No, that wasn't her voice. She didn't sing because her own vocals weren't good enough.

I remember that Halle was prepared to do the singing and did sing during the rehearsals because she wanted it to be as believable as possible but they didn't have time to record her vocals. Maybe she did sound bad but it never seemed that was the implied case. Wendi Williams (can't forget that name) is the person who ended up doing the vocals because she matched Halle's speaking voice. She also helped Halle with the singing before she ultimately did the recording. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off
